ASKED QUESTIONS |
What About Polo Game Viewing?
You may enjoy the matches in the grandstands on either
side of the clubhouse terrace. There are partially enclosed
"box seats" which are designated with member or
sponsor names. Those areas are reserved. If you are interested
in a Season Membership for you, your family
or company, please call our office Monday through Friday at
805-684-6683.
With eight galloping ponies and a speeding ball, the game
is full of action. Sometimes that action may get a little
closer than you expect, so we recommend that you stay behing
the white line and always pay attention! There
is a limited tailgating area between our corporate
event tent and the entry. We enjoy our animals but dogs
and pets are not permitted at the facility at any
time.
Are Refreshments Available?
Yes! Located at the mountain-side of the clubhouse
facing the driveway is Tinker's Polo Grill
where you may purchase great food and beverages. Beverage
service is also available in the grandstands from our bar
(Visa and MasterCard are accepted). You can organize private
events at our fieldside Corporate Event Tent.
Please call our office for details and ask for Laurie Nathanson.
What About Sponsorship & Advertising?
Season Sponsorships are also available. There are
affordable ways to sponsor a Most Valuable Player, Best Playing
Pony, Polo Match or complete Tournament. On site advertising
is also available in front of a great crowd. Please be sure
to inquire at the Polo Clubhouse or call during the week and
speak with Thomas Narozonick at 805-684-6683.
Is There A Pro Shop?
Yes indeed! You'll find a wonderful selection of
top quality Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club jackets,
polo shirts, sweatshirts, hats and other accessories. The
Pro Shop is located in our Tennis Clubhouse. We have many
new items and they make great gifts!
Where Can I Learn To Play Polo?
If you have an urge to try this fantastic game, you
can learn here in a private or group lesson environment. John
Westley is our instructor and a 20-year veteran of polo. Interscholastic,
Intercollegiate and adult programs are available. Contact
John at the Polo School at 805-745-5959.
What Areas Are Restricted To Non Members?
As we are also a private club, there are restricted
areas designated as "Members Only." These areas
include inside the Polo Clubhouse & Fieldside Terrace
and the horse tie rack area where the ponies are staged for
the games.
If you would like to become a member we have several options
available: Social,
Tennis
& Swimming or Seasonal
and Annual Polo Memberships. If you don't find
the information you're looking for here, please call the office
at 805-684-6683. We hope you join us!
