Ivan Weiss took the reins of the former Antelope team, now Novis Insurance, for the final 12 goal tournament of the summer and quickly put two wins on the board defeating Klentner Ranch 12-9 and Farmers & Merchants Bank 8-6. Novis Insurance will take their 2-0 record into the decisive 3rd round of the IntraCircuit on Friday June 22 with the other 3 teams still in contention for the last spot in the Sunday Final. Read all about the details in the attached press release. To see the replays of the games check out http://www.polowest.tv/ or see the highlights on our SBPRC Facebook page.
Please note: on Friday June 22 game times are at 2:30pm and 4:30pm for the 12 goal. This means $5 Margarita Happy Hour is at 4:30pm! Happy hour trivia teaser- what was the name of the field here before it was SBPRC?
Pro Pool winners last week were Charlie Walker, Andrea Rodriguez, Remy Muller, and Henry Walker (with assistance from Antonio on Saturday). This week will determine the pro pool MVP! Current leaders are Cory Williams and Andrea Rodriguez with Matt Yonally in contention just behind them. Sign up with Mia Bray [email protected] for this week's pro pool activities.
Please sign up with Jeff Scheraga for arena polo (Wednesday) and Coaching League (Saturday/ Sunday). Polo Academy has lots of special activities taking place over the break to keep you busy! Sign up for the Polo Training Center Arena fundraiser on Saturday June 30 and SAVE THE DATE for the PTC Golf Tournament fundraiser Saturday July 28.
As we head into the break week, please bear with us as we change around 12 and 16 goal horses. Spring people- please move out by Wednesday afternoon June 27 and leave your stalls/ tackroom in good condition! Summer people- our default is to ask people to leave clean shavings piled up on the sides of the stalls as it seems most incoming boarders prefer that. If you want your stalls stripped, please tell Judith this week so she can let outgoing boarders know. Judith 805-705-1333. Reminder we have no extra room for storage here for car haulers, RVs etc, so please leave those at home.
If you need turnout over the summer, Megan Judge has pasture board and other amenities available at Central Coast Coast Polo, see attached flyer.
Following the break week, we will start with the Rincon League 8 goal (Rincon League questions email Rincon Manager Laura Linfoot Townsend [email protected]) on Thursday July 5, and the World Gym/ Miguel Torres Memorial and NYTS on Saturday July 7. 16 goal opens up with the Belmond El Encanto High Goal Challenge on Sunday July 8.
