Folded Hills Returns to Santa Barbara

The Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club is thrilled to welcome back Folded Hills Winery. Returning for the second year as the club’s official sponsor, owners Andy and Kim Busch have a long legacy with polo and wine that continue to make them the perfect pair for the club.Folded Hills wine is a tribute to family, past and present. Andy and Kim found their place at Folded Hills after falling in love with the Santa Barbara lifestyle. They both decided they wanted to raise their family on the California coast and share with their kids the hard work and joy that comes with ranch life. They poured their love into their land, and in 2014, after walking their hills, studying their soil and microclimate, they planted their first grapes: Grenache, Syrah, and a collection of Rhone whites.

Their vineyards and winery allow them to pursue their passion for making wine, and provide a beautiful way to enrich and preserve the land for future generations. Folded Hills is a place to gather and share, to carry on our tradition of making friends. In honor of that, each wine they make is inspired by a piece of their family history. We’re excited to announce they will be opening their first tasting room, which will also be the first in Montecito. Opening very soon, the tasting room is located right on Coast Village Road, across from the Montecito Inn.

“Our goal was to make a great wine that was easy to drink and pair with food - a wine made naturally in the French style so it would not overpower whatever dish you were serving,” says Kim. “We don’t take ourselves too seriously. No wine snobs here, just absolute best practices, with lots of heart and soul.” Polo guests can look forward to sipping these subtle and delicious wines all season long. Be sure not to miss the Folded Hills Pope Challenge on opening day Sunday, May 5th!
