Event to Honor Ambassador Holden Benefits Museum of Polo

The celebration in honor of Glen Holden on Saturday, May 25th at the Celebrity Ranch in California was a great success and over $100,000 was gifted to the Museum. Glen Holden gave a $50,000 donation, and Mike Farah and the benefactors and associated charities of the Celebrity Foundation for Children granted $50,000 to the Museum.

Inducted into the Museum’s Polo Hall of Fame in 2002 and a member of the Board of Directors since 2010, he still is a dedicated supporter of the Museum. For his lifetime of dedication to polo and the Museum, this weekend’s event was in tribute to Ambassador Holden, a true icon of the sport.

Museum of Polo Executive Director George DuPont threw out the ball for the first match which featured Beverly Hills Polo Club against Hollywood Polo Club and the Honorable Glen Holden threw out the ball for the second game, the American Polo Association team vs. Santa Barbara Polo Club. Glen’s wife Gloria, daughter Geannie and her husband Mike Sheller, and son Jeep Holden were part of a large contingent of family that included their granddaughter and even great-grandchildren who flew in for the occasion.
